The opening hole is a slight dogleg to the right with water protecting the entire left side of the hole. The optimal position off the tee would be the left center of the fairway. You can challenge the fairway bunker on the right which, if successful, will leave you with a short iron or wedge approach to the green. The green features water and a large greenside bunker on the left with a generous chipping area to the right.

You are presented with an option off the tee, either challenge the water or play conservatively and minimize the forced carry over the water. Using the aggressive approach, a player will have a good opportunity to reach the green in two shots. A player looking to lay up will have to navigate their second shot in between two fairway bunkers at 100 yards. The green slopes severely from back to front.

Challenging the left fairway bunker off the tee will leave you with a very short wedge into the green, but will also bring out of bounds and water into play. A smart tee shot with a fairway wood or hybrid will leave you with 130 yards to the green and a clear angle to attack the various hole locations. Be sure to take enough club as any shot that comes up short will most likely end up in the water. Speed with the birdie putt is very important as the green is sloped severely from back to front.

A fairly open tee shot awaits, but a well positioned fairway bunker will surely catch any tee shots to the right. Once in the fairway, you will encounter an approach shot to a green that is protected by deep greenside bunkers front left and a severe drop off on the right. A par after missing the green is an excellent score.

Depending on wind direction and hole locations, your club selection may vary, but a shot to the middle of the green is the best and will give you a reasonable chance at birdie. Beware of the false short to the right of the green and the severe drop off to the left of the green.

The postage stamp green comes into your strategy as soon as you step onto the tee box. To give yourself the best chance at holding this postage green, you need to play to the left center of the fairway. Your target for your second shot needs to be to the front portion of the green because any other shot will undoubtedly run off into the deep swells surrounding the green.

This hole presents you with a great chance at a birdie. Accuracy off the tee is a must on this short par 5 due to the coquina area on the left and out of bounds on the right. Once you hit the fairway, you will be presented the choice of going for the green in two or use a short iron to lay up. The peninsula green is surrounded by water and a wrap around bunker. The correct club selection is needed either going for the green into two or using a wedge for your third shot.

Be sure to take more club in order to carry the green’s false front. The green has a drastic slope from back to front. Two putt this green and you will be happy!

Challenging the water that runs down the entire right side of the hole will give you the opportunity to go for the green in two with as little as a mid iron. If needed, your lay-up shot needs to be precise in order to avoid the many fairway bunkers that protect the left side of the fairway. All approach shots must navigate the water and large bunkers that protect this narrow sloping green.

While longer hitters may be able to drive this green, trouble awaits in the form of bunkers everywhere. A well placed tee shot that must carry the middle fairway bunker will give you a wedge into a well protected green. Any errant approaches will leave you with a difficult bunker shot with minimal green to work with. Birdie is a good possibility, but bogeys are right around the corner.

A wide landing area off the tee gives you plenty of area to let it loose. Your second shot will present you with a choice to carry the cross bunkers or play short of them. A successful challenge of the cross bunkers will award you with a short pitch and a good chance for birdie. Laying up short, your second shot will be with a mid to long iron based on the wind direction. Your choice on your third shot will determine the chances for a birdie or bogey.

A long and accurate tee shot is required to navigate between the coquina area on the left and the fairway bunkers on the right. Your second shot will play longer than the yardage as this green is one of the most elevated greens on the course. A drastic run off to the left and deep bunker to the right make this approach shot very intimidating. Par on this hole will make your visit to the 19th hole that much more enjoyable!
